So we're back...sort of...again.
Anyways.
I'm back to being able to draw and compose things a little more regularly, and contrary to popular (or anyone's) belief, Mike and I have still been fielding various ideas back and forth through the miracle of AIM to have more strips coming up, and in short order.
We're planning on going back to about a once-a-week format. I'm still battling the ole Big C-Bastard, on top of taking full-schedule classwork at the Art Institute. Perhaps by fall I might even be rolling out an all-new website for TLI...but we'll see how things go first.
And no, this really wasn't any response to the upcoming "Transformers" movie...Mike could give less than a shit and I tend to trust his "shit giving" judgment.
But you have to admit it's something of a cultural mixed-message at best. To tell an entire generation of kids to not talk to strangers, not trust anyone they don't know, and then hand them every Christmas and Birthday and Bar Mitzvah from 1980 to present a bunch of "robots in disguise" suggesting that they can trust the big, friendly robots who hide behind the facades of everyday objects and vehicles...and to make sure they keep the "good robots" secret safe from the prying awareness of the government...or their teachers, counselors, and parents...
..
..
well, I just can't pretend that the whole "Catholic Church Altar Boys" scandals of the last few years are really that big a shock.
